So the good folks over at the NME.com blog are hosting my tour diary from this tour. Part #1 is now up and can be found here. There's a video diary with each installment too:
My son, a few friends and I went to the Offspring/Dropkick Murphys concert last night and truly enjoyed your opening. You were amazing. I did have to ask a couple that was behind me who seemed to be quite familiar with your music what your name was. I would suggest that people know who you are because you are great and people will be looking for your cds after hearing you, including myself. I look forward to hearing your new cd in September
Frank, I enjoyed you very much tonight at The Offspring show in Toronto. First I heard of you, but now I'll be watching! Love to see you with the band, although you really carried it off on your own. Way to go!
Kick ass show in Toronto. I need to know the name of the songs you played though. I know there was Worse Things Happen At See, The Real Damage, Nashville Tennesse, and Long Live The Queen. What else did you play. I know the lyrics of one was something about 'no such thing as rockstars just people who play music' or something like that. I can't find it anywhere though. Come back to Toronto soon dude.
Kevin, the song you are looking for is called 'Try This At Home', and will be on Frank's forthcoming album. The reason you can't find it anywhere is because it hasn't been released yet.
Hey dude! You were awesome at the Offspring concert! I was in awe about how great you sounded! I didn't expect you to be that great since it was just the one instrument but it blew my mind! You did a really great job and I can't wait to hear more of your songs! You totally deserved to be up there with the offspring and pennywise!
Kevin, Frank also played I Knew Prufrock Before He Got Famous (first), Photosynthesis (second last), The Ballad of Me and My Friends (last) and Love Ire and Song. Great show, although i must say i was hoping to hear Vital Signs and Reasons not to be an Idiot...
The Canandaigua show was excellent. We weren't expecting much from an opener and you got me and my girlfriend hooked to the point that for most of the last week all we've listened to is Love Ire and Song. Definitely looking forward to your next album.
Agree with the first poster about your name though. You said it multiple times and the three of us still didn't know what it was until we hit the merch tent.
I was right in the front at the Albany show, five feet from the stand -- one of the best live music experiences of my life. I wish the crowd had been bigger and the New York City couple had shut up during "Journey Of The Magi" but still an incredible night. I hope the small crowd won't discourage you from coming back some time.
Was at the show in Toronto and was blown away! I remember you said something along the lines about of making your music in England and then travelling 4000 miles to play in Canada and how messed up that was. Well it was definitely worth it. Some kick ass songs! I'm not gonna lie I had no idea who you were going into it and when you came on I was buying beer and talking with other people. Once you started playing I had to get back to my seat. Kick ass! You made a new fan out of me!
My husband and I saw you in Canandaigua, NY - and you totally rocked. I really dig your music and will be buying many cd's of yours..Great lyrics, awesome vibe...would love to see/hear you again around here... Lynnell & Jason Fusco
