Christmas Cheer

Taking my lead from Asda, I've decided that, since summer is now officially over (in the UK at least), it's time to start getting festive. Bring on the mistletoe, tinsel and over-sized advent calendars! Ha. Not really. What I'm blathering about is a special Christmas show that we're announcing today.

December 19th will see yours truly playing a special show at Union Chapel in London. It's going to be more of an evening with friends, more acoustic / stripped down for me, with a whole bunch of singers and pickers taking the stage. More details on the line-up will be out soon. Union Chapel is one of my favourite London venues and I think it's going to be a really special occasion. So. Tickets can be found right here right now (they go on general sale on Friday), and come at £13. I hope you can make it down.

I've been told by great men that I need to check whether this show has an age limit. Anyone know?

You're right. Frank should hire the union chapel and just invite friends down and foot the entire bill himself cos he's a rockstar now, innit.

Obviously you still wouldn't be there 'anonymous'.

dear lovely mr frank
i hate touts and it would be really nice if you could support cutting the cock and bollocks off sites like seatwave with just simple steps like insisting promoters and primary agencies print names on tickets ( specified at point of purchase), and requiring matching ID on entry
Touts are thieves more just as illegal downloaders are.
So I hear xmas show is meant to be a charity do. tickets 13?? not anymore
2x £13 tickets add up like this:
Your tickets Unreserved Seating
2 tickets x £59.95 each £119.90
The fees
Seatwave commission (inc Vat) £20.68
Delivery to £7.00

Total price £147.58

who profits here? fans? friends? charity? you?
it is laughable. it's YOUR show. demand names on the tickets and id. you and your friends and fans should benefit from the show plus charity if that's the case here...

big love
v

not that you're adverse to banging on about something ... these are the T&Cs on your ticket sales (vis See Tickets/ Gigs & Tours):

"All tickets purchased on this site are governed by our terms and conditions. In particular, we draw your attention to the fact that all tickets are for personal use only and cannot be resold under any circumstances. Resale or attempted resale is grounds for seizure or cancellation without refund or other compensation. The Event Partner and its affiliates, successors, or assigns may enforce these terms in accordance with the provisions of the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 (the Act)."
So... is everyone just sitting looking out of the window waiting for the revolution to start?? ;-)

Hi Vixen.
Um, right, for a start it's not a charity show, never was. It's a Christmas show. Whatever. The show is sold out, it sold out in 2 days, so if anyone's selling tickets now they're a tout, regardless of what their website looks like. Booking agencies do charge booking fees (such is life) but in normal circumstances it's never fore than £2 or £3. Those prices you're quoting there are touts prices, not mine. It's a difficult battle, touts annoy the shit out of me, but watermarking / printing names for an ID check and so on are expensive practices that simply aren't offered by most venues, promoters and ticketing outlets. So. I'm sorry you missed the tickets when they were on sale, and I'd advise telling these touts to get fucked. I'll be playing again soon. Hope yr well.
