Thats right folks, on August 8th of this year I'm playing a show at the Camden Barfly in North London. At this show I'm going to be recording a version of a song of mine for use on my debut album, which is due to be released in January 2007.The song in question is called The Ballad Of Me And My Friends, and a rough recording of it (which is, incidentally, played way too fast!) can be found on my Myspace Page, so you can listen and learn when and what you have to sing. For those who can't make it out, the words are: 'We're definitely going to hell, but we'll have all the best stories to tell'. We'll probably have a rehearsal of the song on the night too. Not that hard now, is it? At the end of the night we'll be taking people's names (those who want to be credited!) for inclusion in the album sleeve. Needless to say there's no money involved in this, it's just a bit of fun for me and my friends / fans. If you want to come to the show and don't want to get involved, that's fine too. As an extra incentive for you to come on down, I'll be backed up by the fabulous Jamie Lenman of Reuben fame (doing a rare solo set) and the absolutely brilliant Beans On Toast. Both acts are excellent and good friends of mine too. Incidentally, tickets have been selling pretty well so if you're planning on making it down for this little extravaganza, I'd advise buying a ticket a.s.a.p. See you there. Frank. |
